The shape of using Nara.

These terms cover your use of Nara, a narration tool operated by Azalea Labs. By creating an account, uploading a manuscript, or generating audio, you agree to what's below. We try to keep this short and readable.

1. Your account

You need a Nara account to generate audio or publish. Keep your credentials safe; you're responsible for everything that happens under your account. You must be at least 13 years old (or the digital-consent age in your jurisdiction) to sign up.

2. Content you upload

You retain ownership of the manuscripts, essays, and other text you upload. You grant Nara a limited license to process that content — generating audio, extracting chapters, storing the source file and outputs — solely to provide the service to you.

You confirm that you have the right to publish anything you ship. You may only upload work you wrote, work in the public domain, or work you're licensed to narrate. If a third party brings a credible IP claim against material you uploaded, you bear sole responsibility for the dispute, and Nara may remove or unlist the content while it's resolved.

3. Generated audio

Audio Nara generates from your manuscript is yours to use. If you self-publish, you keep 100% of any revenue. If you publish via the Azalea marketplace, you receive 50% of streaming revenue earned from that listing, paid monthly.

4. Payment

Generation is free; you pay only when you self-publish (download), publish through Azalea (50% off the per-minute rate), or eventually through a third-party distributor (full rate plus distributor fee). Payments are processed by Stripe. Once you've paid for the self-publish download of a project, you can re-download it anytime, free, as long as your Nara account is active.

5. Acceptable use

Don't use Nara to produce or distribute content that is illegal where you live or where you're publishing, that impersonates real people without consent (including synthetic voice impersonation), that incites violence, or that violates anyone else's rights. We may suspend accounts that do.

6. Service availability

Nara is provided "as is." We aim for high uptime but make no guarantees about availability, error-free operation, or that any specific feature will keep working unchanged. We'll give reasonable notice before discontinuing the service entirely.

7. Termination

You can delete your account at any time. We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. On termination we'll preserve already-paid-for downloads for a reasonable window so you can pull your files.

8. Liability

To the extent allowed by law, Nara and Azalea Labs are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Our total liability for any claim is capped at the amount you've paid Nara in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Changes

We may update these terms. If we make material changes we'll notify you by email or in-app banner. Continued use after the change means you accept the update.
